This one-day introductory diving program is a perfect opportunity for you to experience the underwater world. This is also a great choice if you don’t have enough time to take up a full dive course while you’re on holiday.
It’s ideal for people of different ages; even as young as 10 years old. The good thing about this program is that you can sign up even with no previous scuba diving experience. As long as you’re in good health, know how to swim, and pass the dive medical questionnaire, then you’re good to go.
Discover Scuba Diving gives you a chance to try scuba diving without any pressure of committing to a longer certification program. This introductory experience allows first-timers to see the beauty of the realm beneath the waves. It’s your ticket to see the colorful corals and encounter different marine species. Although this program does not result in a certification, you can use it as a stepping stone if you decide to pursue diving.
To ensure a fun and worry-free dive, we’ll provide all the necessary instruction, safety briefings, and equipment. You can choose between a conventional dive mask and a full-face dive mask. A full-face mask enables beginners to enjoy a 180-degree unobstructed view of the marine environment. It covers the whole face which makes breathing underwater come more naturally.
You’ll be given an overview of basic scuba diving facts and practical demonstrations before going into the water. There are no pool sessions and all our dives are done from the Palm Jumeirah.
Our professional instructor will guide you every step of the way starting from putting on your gear and showing you how all the dive gears work.
Once you’re ready, the dive instructor will descend with you up to one meter. This gives you an opportunity to get used to breathing through your regulator. After getting accustomed to the breathing patterns, you will then descend another few meters. The gradual descent makes your first diving experience less intimidating because you have ample time to get used to breathing with a regulator.
The most fun part of the program is exploring the reef with your instructor. You get to enjoy an up to 45-minute dive to a minimum depth of 5 meters (15 feet). The maximum possible depth that you can experience during Discover Scuba Diving is 12 meters (40 feet).
Dubai is home to beautiful corals and multi-colored tropical fish. Get a chance to see bannerfish, parrotfish, triggerfish, trumpetfish, fusilier, pufferfish, lionfish, and more. Keep an eye out for playful turtles and gliding rays.
