Musandam Snorkeling Trip Overview
If you’re looking for a fun and easy way to see the teeming marine life beneath the surface of the water then a snorkeling trip is just what you need. Our Musandam snorkeling tour is a great opportunity to explore the beauty of the peninsula’s underwater ecosystem. This trip is perfect for families including kids (8 years old and above) or a group of friends looking for an exciting holiday adventure. One of the great things about snorkeling is that you don’t need extensive training or expensive gear to observe the colorful fish, aquatic plants, and other marine creatures that inhabit the waters of Musandam. You just need a diving mask and a snorkel and you’re good to go! You have the option to use swim fins if you want to achieve a more powerful thrust in the water and be able to move at ease around objects or structures. No need to buy or rent snorkeling gear because we will provide what you need during the tour but feel free to bring your own. Plus you don’t have to wear special clothing because you can simply put on your regular swimwear to go snorkeling. Don’t worry if you’re not an excellent swimmer because you can still enjoy this activity as long as you are comfortable in the water and have basic swimming skills. We have life vests on board to provide as floatation assistance so you can snorkel with confidence.
We will take you to the snorkeling site via a traditional Omani dhow that has several amenities such as a sundeck, sunbed, and its own private bathroom. Here's the full itinerary:
Our meeting time is at 10:30PM at the border of Musandam and from there we will accompany you to our Omani dhow where we will have a boat and trip program briefing and accomplish some paperwork. Let the waves rock you to sleep while we head our way to Musandam, Oman.
Wake up to a spectacular view of the sea and enjoy your breakfast on our way to our first stop at White Rock where you can begin snorkeling and we’ll go to Umm Al Fayarin Island for our second stop. We’ll take a break for lunch before heading to our third stop, Ras Lima where you can continue snorkeling to your heart's content. We’ll cap the evening at Semi Island at Lima so you can wind down and enjoy a BBQ Dinner.
We’ll start with breakfast so you can pump energy into your system before we head to our two destinations. You can chill on board at our first stop, Octopus Rock but you can jump into the water for your last snorkeling when we reach our second stop, Lima Rock followed by a delicious lunch. We’ll accompany you back to the port around 6PM and call it a day.
